boat launch
The Firefly was launched a couple of weeks ago at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, and I got to be MCTV's second camera operator. It was terrific, although I managed to hit "backlight" during the last few minutes. Believe me, sunshine on open water is a subject that should never be filmed as if backlit!
food coloring is tenacious
I got my brother and his friends to sword fight for a couple of war scenes in 'Tell the Story,' and then I had them pose for stills of carnage:
It was only afterwards that we learned that the food coloring wouldn't wash right off. I think the pink has faded by now, though!
“Tell the Story” fourth draft
After a few pick-ups today, I edited together all of the Robin Hood material for "Tell the Story." You can see the (silent, with transitions missing) clip here.
The soldiers' scene still hasn't been shot, but otherwise I think it's almost done!
“Tell the Story” third draft
The newest version of my Robin Hood project may be found here. Keep in mind that there is still no sound, and the sequences are not necessarily in their final order. One more scene is in line to be edited, and three more shooting days are planned. A fourth day (for pick-ups) may be in the works.
concert video completed
I recorded Kevin D. Parizo's organ concert to tape a few days ago. All the titles worked out, with only one unfortunate spelling mistake. The tape will be aired on Middlebury Community Television, and distributed to the musicians.
